On Sunday 15th December the Club held its Annual Christmas Party and Awards Presentations. The morning commenced with some fun swims ably arranged and managed by Vice President Mike Millard and his two co-conspirators, Daniel and Georgie Millard. This turned out to be surprisingly worth doing - not only for the fun (and in some cases hard swimming!) but also for great prizes to the winners.
The more serious part of the morning began with the arrival of Steve Irons MP, Federal Member for Swan. This is the third year in a row that Steve has turned out to present our awards, and it should also be mentioned that his office has very kindly donated printing and binding for the annual Year Book. It's great to have such friendly and high level support.
The recipients of the awards are detailed in the photos, but special mention should be made of Ted O'Rourke who stepped into the role of President when Peter Houwen had to leave us. Ted became our well-deserved 2013 Club Person of the Year.
There was a whopping raffle with loads of winners - see the pictures to find out who they were.
And finally, of course there was a terrific lunch with contributions from most people, well organized by Helen Urquhart.
