All Pool Swimming Activity Suspended

In response to the COVID-19 situation, Masters Swimming Western Australia suspended all pool competitions on Sunday 15 March.  As part of their response to the COVID-19 situation, the Town of Victoria Park closed Aqualife and the Leisurecentre on Thursday 19 March.  This resulted in the Swimming Club having no venue to train in.  Shortly after, all pool and gym facilities in Perth were closed.  Therefore, as of Thursday 19 March, all Club activities in pools have been suspended until further notice.

If any Club members are keen to continue some swimming, ocean swimming offers an alternative, at least until it becomes too cold (but you could continue swimming in a wetsuit!).  With up to 10 people now allowed to gather, Somerset Masters Swimming Club has groups of members getting together to swim at Coogee Beach on Saturday and Sunday mornings.  Appropriate social distancing is, of course, practised.  If you want to join in contact the Secretary for details.
