Don’t forget the Club has organised a weekend away in Mandurah on 17-19 June to coincide with the Mandurah BACC. Details are below. Some chalets are already booked so if you plan coming down please put your details on the form in the Club room. You can just come down for one night, and you don’t have to stay at the organised accommodation to take part in the planned activities.

A Weekend Away in Mandurah
Combine a winter break in Mandurah
with the Mandurah BACC
Come and join other members of Somerset AUSSI Masters who are having a
weekend together down at Mandurah from Friday evening 17 June, to Sunday
19 June.
We will be staying at Mandurah Ocean Marina Chalets in the heart of
Mandurah. See information on next page.
They offer a range of chalets including:
• 1 bedroom studios with either a queen bed or 2 singles - $115/night
• 2 bedroom chalets with either 2 queen beds, or 1 queen bed and 2 singles, or 4
single beds - $155/night (that’s just $38.75 per person)
This includes all linen, towels and personal soaps, and a fully self contained
kitchen.
The plan is to arrive Friday evening for some casual socialising organised
individually. You could organise a casserole night with another chalet.
Saturday may see a breakfast gathering, a visit to a winery and generally
exploring Mandurah. This is still being planned and any suggestions would be
appreciated. Saturday night we plan to go to a reasonably priced restaurant
(this would replace the usual Thursday night pre-BACC dinner after training).
Sunday morning would be the Mandurah BACC after which you might enjoy
more of what Mandurah can offer or just head back home.
Family and friends are welcome, and if you can’t make it down on the Friday
evening you can arrange to just stay the Saturday night.
We ask that you get together and form your own groups, then book your chalet
yourself by going to http://www.marinachalets.com.au/index.html
If you want to go but don’t know who to link up with please contact Eric van
Delft (
This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
) and he will organise to get you in with some
others in a chalet that doesn’t have a full complement.
We have also placed a form in the Club room where we ask you to list your
name, the number (and who) in your chalet, and who will be attending the
dinner on Saturday night. This information is necessary for overall planning
and booking a restaurant.
You can read more about the accommodation on the web site listed and if you
have any further questions please contact Eric van Delft.
We look forward to having you join us for the weekend. Already several people
have put there names down on the form in the Club room so it is shaping up to
be a fun weekend.
