Murray Corp has been a member of Somerset for less than two years, and in that time has shown himself to be not only a keen swimmer but also a prolific and witty writer about his involvement in a number of different swimming experiences. To give readers an opportunity to really appreciate Murray’s writings, we have gathered them together in this blog. As he produces more articles – which no doubt he will – we will add them to the blog so that the story of his swimming adventures is continually updated. If you have any interest in the trreatment of Carpel Tunnel Syndrome, be sure to read his piece.
Murray starting swimming when he was only 5, and first joined a swimming club in primary school. As an adult he favoured Coogee for ocean swimming with his daughters. He is also a member of the Ascot Kayak Club and it was after a leisurely paddle one Saturday morning, he got talking to Jude Crawford and decided to have just a couple of weeks of coaching with her to improve his swimming technique. He enjoyed the training, the cup of coffee afterwards and the friendships forged by being part of Somerset so much, that now he is in his second year of Somerset membership. His main interest so far has been in open water swimming and he has competed in a number of events in distances from 1500m to 20 Km.
